Exhibit

Written by Joe Hanrahan and directed by Annamaria Pileggi

Location: Craft Alliance Grand Center

Site-specific theatre meets site-specific art in “Exhibit“. This remarkable show is set in Craft Alliance’s Grand Center location during a very unique exhibit by Jennifer Angus, who uses exotic bugs to create her art.

The funny and biting play invites audience members to experience this unusual art exhibit with the actors. Examining how art can spark “interesting” conversations, the play serves as a wide-open playground where people may feel safe to “exhibit” their own qualities and foibles.

One Extraordinary Darkness

Written by Elizabeth Birkenmeier and Directed by Bill Whitaker

Location: The Green Center

Site-specific theatre enters a scary new dimension in “One Extraordinary Darkness”. The play takes audience members through the reputedly haunted residence and grounds of The Green Center, a University City-based arts and environmental organization dedicated to helping people understand the natural world.

“One Extraordinary Darkness” introduces us to the magnificently eccentric Green family who live in The Green Center’s 1930’s mansion. The family patriarch, a professor of physics and religion, attempts to demonstrate a scientific breakthrough to his attending students, as played by the audience! Throughout the “class”, there is much confusion as characters’ sanity and mere existence come into question.
